Uninstalling

Uninstalling is one click in Shopify and needs no notice. Here is exactly what happens.

Immediately#

• The subscription is cancelled. No further charges, no cancellation fee.
• Our access token is revoked — the app can no longer read anything from your store.
• Webhook subscriptions are removed.
• The storefront widgets stop rendering. Their blocks remain in your theme as inert references until you remove them.

Within 48 hours#

Shopify sends the shop/redact webhook. On receipt we delete:

• Your search index
• Your cached data
• Your configuration — mapped collections, filters, normalization rules, ranking weights, copy templates
• Your fitment data — uploaded CSV rows, sheet contents, editor overlays
• Your analytics history

What is never touched#

Everything that was always yours:

Products, variants, prices, inventory

never modified.

Tags

including fits_… tags. We read them; we never write them.

Metafields

read for specs, never written.

Collections

mapping is a WySync-side record; your collections are untouched.

Orders

line item properties written at checkout stay on the orders that carry them.

Vehicle landing pages

generated as real Shopify pages. They remain yours after uninstall; delete them yourself if you don't want them.

Before you go#

If there's any chance you'll come back, or you want your work elsewhere:

1. Export your fitment data. The editor exports every mapping and overlay as CSV — including corrections that took real time to build.
2. Export your analytics. Vehicle rankings and zero-result queries are useful to whatever you use next.
3. Note your configuration. Filter mappings and normalization rules are quick to rebuild but annoying to remember.

We will export any of this for you on request, after uninstall, within the deletion window. Ask on the contact form and we'll get it to you before the data goes.

Removing the blocks from your theme#

Uninstalling doesn't tidy your theme. Open the theme editor, remove the WySync sections and disable the app embeds. Leaving them costs nothing — Shopify won't render an uninstalled app's blocks — but a tidy theme is easier for the next person.
